If you do not see your question answered here, please contact us via email, and your question will get answered directly. We will also make sure the topic is covered in this FAQ for future reference.
How do I get started?
You have several options. You can choose the packaged installation that fits your needs, and call to schedule it accordingly. If you aren't sure, or your needs somehow don't fit the definition, give us a call. We are happy to help via the phone. If your project is still proving fairly complicated, we will help you purchase a site survey. This is a fee-for-service analysis of your full project, where the entire fee is credited to our work on your job if you choose us to do the work.
What do I need to have for my installation?
There are several parts and cables that are needed for any installation. These items can be purchased from the place you purchased your equipment, or we can provide them. When you receive a confirmation call from us, we will verify that you have (or need) the brackets / cords / accessories that you need to get the installation you want. You can choose to buy them from your installer, or get them from any other source, as long as they are on site for the installation time.
If you have questions about what you need, please call us at 503-670-4641.
Do I have to use your brackets and cables, or can I get them elsewhere?
This is completely up to you. We will use the bracket you have, as long as it is compatible with your screen. We also stock brackets here. The brands we stock on the trucks strictly forbid internet mentions or sales, but in exchange, the quality is top notch with a very competitive price. You are welcome to call and ask us more about these items. We are proud of all the brands we carry.
Is moving the power outlet included?
We are certified low voltage electricians. We can refer you to a few great quality electricians, but we are not certified to do this work in your home. We must stress that it is in the electrical code to NOT place the power cord, or an extension cord, into a wall cavity and then bring it out another hole and plug into the available A/C outlet. The outlet needs to be extended by a high voltage electrician to the required area according to code.
Will you install the TV over my fireplace, or on a non-drywall surface wall?
The quick answer is yes. However, this needs to move to a time and material installation, possibly with a site survey. We need to make sure your screen has access to power, cable, and is secure enough to hold the bracket and screen. We can talk through these concerns on the phone, and schedule the installation or site survey. Give us a call at (503) 670-4641
How do I schedule an appointment?
Give us a call! We are happy to put something in the book the old fashioned way. (503) 670-4641.
What is the availability of technicians? Can they install on the weekend?
We are at full staff Monday - Friday, 9-6. However, weekends and evenings are available by requested appointment. Our main number gets forwarded for off-hour attendance, so you can reach us by phone in most circumstances.
Can I reschedule?
Yes. Just give us a call. (503) 670-4641.
Will I get a reminder about my installation?
Yes. The evening before your installation, we will call to confirm the specific time, and verify that our technician will call when they are on the way.
Who will do my installation?
We have several installers on staff. You are welcome to ask the name of your installer, or request someone specific, if you have worked with us before. All of our installers receive education from manufacturers, representatives, CEDIA and CEDIA approved sources, as well as each other. After more than 15 years, there is a lot of collective experience in the house. Every installer we have is a full time with benefits employee. Their incentive is to make you happy, and not leave until your expectations are met.
What will the technician do at my home?
They will introduce themselves upon arrival. You can show them to the project, and they will assess the physical options, the conversation you had on the phone, and any other needs you may have. They will then complete the installation, letting you know about any new issues that may arise as they go. They will integrate your new equipment to make sure everything works as intended. You will receive a brief educational demonstration of your new system, and get your questions answered. We will take all boxes and debris, so your home (or office) is left as clean as when we arrived.
Return Policy:
Installation labor is not returnable, nor are trip charges. However, we stand by our work to your satisfaction. We will be clear about expectations of how your equipment will perform, and install to the best of the equipment's ability.
